Hi! I’m playing around with a new format where I write in a stream-of-consciousness style (‘rambles’) about a topic I’m intrigued by but have trouble articulating or connecting my thoughts. I want to reduce the time I spend going in circles in my head and remove the pressure of needing a perfectly structured piece before sharing anything. Sometimes, it can just be a collection of thoughts and concepts.

I’ve been thinking about this concept since reading a post by Raptitude called You Are Always the Other Person.

It’s worth reading the article in full, but in essence:

“In life, there’s you — the omnipresent Protagonist — and then countless Other People. Most of them are bit players, but some of these Other People are major characters in your story. They might spend quite a lot of time onscreen, but they always remain Other People. You never get to see
